Customer Service – a thing of yesteryear?

How long does one need to wait to recieve a draft from a Bank?  A week? 10 days? A fortnight?!  I wish I knew! I had requested a draft from my bank and waited for 10 days and rang them when I didn’t recieve it – to be told I will soon be receiving it through the post.  A couple of days went by, with umpteen mail items being pushed through the door but not the draft.  Gave another ring, with the same response.  Finally I had to resort to asking for details of whom I should be lodging a complaint with, which made them sit up and promise that they will definetely let me know what was happening by the end of the day.  To cut a long story short, the transaction was cancelled for reasons that are not clear and could I call in at the bank and fill out another application please! 

Why wasn’t I informed that the transaction had not been completed?  even after the number of calls and messages I was leaving with the staff?  It would have helped to know what the guidelines were – number of days by which a certain service would need to be provided by.

Wonder if the draft will come through within the next 7 days as they had intimated?  I’ll just have to wait and see ; ]

First Foray into blogging!

I have always enjoyed reading other people’s blogs and thought it was straightforward to do; how hard could it be?  But when it comes to my own, I’m floundering, not knowing how to start!
